Primary Component – The group of nodes in a cluster which can process work.
Public Key – A certificate containing an aliased asymmetric public key.
Private Key – A certificate containing an aliased asymmetric private key.
Policy – A Java sandbox security policy which allocates permissions to codebases.
Ready object – An object which has been initialised and is ready to perform work.
Rhino platform – The total set of modules, components and application servers which run on JAIN SLEE.
Resource manager – A configurable component which provides access to an external transactional system.
Resource adaptor entity – An logical instance for a Resource Adaptor which performs work.
Runtime state – The configuration of the Rhino SLEE. See runtime state.
Sbb entity – An object instance of an SBB which performs work.
Sign – To sign a jar using the Java

tool.
SecurityManager – The Java security manager.
Statistics – Metrics gathered by the running Rhino SLEE.
Transaction – An isolated unit of work.
Work directory – The copy of the configuration files that are actually used by the Rhino SLEE codebase.
Work – What the SLEE does while it is in the
RUNNING
state: processing activities and events.
Working configuration – The deployable units, profiles, and resource adaptors configured in the main working memory.
Web Console – The HTTP interface to the Rhino SLEE management facility.
Working Memory – The mechanism used to hold the runtime state and the working configuration.
